Contributions to the history of burn treatment.

The authors make a brief review of burn treatment in Portugal as well as describing the Burn Unit of the Coimbra University Hospitals. The scientific advances in this area and new perspectives to the future are also mentioned, emphasizing the importance of burn prevention and a complete social reintegration of the burn patient.Downloads
