AMP-Student with a new Editor-in-Chief

Joana Revés, a 5th year medical student from NOVA Medical School|Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, is the new Editor-in-Chief of AMP-Student. Joana revés was appointed by the Associate Editors of the Student Corner of Acta Médica Portuguesa and then confirmed by Rui Tato Marinho. Within the frame of her new task she will develop a number of fundamental operations such as managing the network of local representatives of the Portuguese Medical Schools, launching calls for articles written by students and subject to the same quality as the "senior" articles, representing the AMP-Student in National Congresses and the communicating the different current projects.

The new Editor-in-Chief for the year of 2017 was already an Associate Editor all through this year, as a member of the team led by Pedro Câmara Pestana. As part of this position – which, likewise to the rest of the Editorial Board and Reviewers from AMP/AMP-Student, is developed pro-bono and without any kind of benefits or credits - the young medical student has performed screening on articles submitted by students and cooperated in the design and translation of the specific Publishing Guidelines for junior authors.

Joana Revés has also been involved with the Medical Students Congress Organizing Committee at her faculty, worked on the Students’ Union of NOVA Medical School|Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, as head of the medical training department and during this year she also took over as President of the Fiscal and Disciplinary Board in this same institution.
